Hadia Saqib
The Quaid-e-Azam was gift from Allah Almighty and thanks to his sincerity
of purpose and dedication; Pakistan emerged on the world map as an independent country.
We should study the political philosophy of the Quaid-e-Azam deeply. Jinnah conceived
an Islamic democratic and progressive Pakistan for which the Muslims of the subcontinent
made great sacrifices, and not for secularism which was expounded by the Indian
National Congress (Mahmood & Waqar, 2012). Jinnah, was the man of words and the
man of wisdom, emphasized on the creation of Pakistan not random as a matter of
chance or out of hasty decision but based its creation on an ideology with its roots
in religion Islam.
His desire is obvious when he said:
"We should have a State in which we could live and breathe as free
men and which we could develop according to our own lights and culture and where
principles of Islamic social justice could find free play"
Social ills such as injustice, nepotism, corruption, profiteering and
bribery have exceeded all limits; these were the evils about which the Jinnah had
forewarned us. Jinnah wanted a nation, where every individual could get opportunities
to live peacefully, where justice, equality and fairness would always prevail. But,
such aspirants are buried. Nobody from civil and military government has fulfilled
his dreams after his death. Corruption has been the most challenging nuisance that
has caused numerous evils on national level. According to Transparency International's
Corruption Perception Index 2017, Pakistan ranks at 116th among 176 countries as
compared to India ranked 79th position. Owing to this menace, the rich has become
richer and the poor become poorer (CPI, 2017)
I feel disconsolate with Pakistan's undetermined standing on the globe
either as third world or under developed state, a lost eastern wing, unachieved
Kashmir that Jinnah called an integral part of Pakistan and with America still taking
our decrees and decisions not only contradicts the existence of today's Pakistan
to Jinnah's vision but dolefully brings it to the most down position, Ruling elites
to be called Saadiq and Amin have offshore accounts of million dollars while the
poor cannot even get food properly. These worst facts have brought Pakistan at a
stage where most of us hesitate calling it Jinnah's Pakistan.
Is it not painful that today I live in a state where women fear stepping
out of their doorstep, men dread of blast as they step in the Masjid. With the rattling
sound of terrorism and bomb blast in my ears, with my eyes witnessing flourishing
feudal system, prevailing poverty and people dying of hunger and with the hands
of my mother before her face drenched in tears and praying for safety and survival
makes me wonder if I owe the state I'm living in.
The state appears helpless in protecting vulnerable citizens, minorities
against obscuration. In this backdrop, just wishing for a new Pakistan to emerge
is not going to get an escape but to struggling a way forward by Unity, faith and
Discipline.
Mr. Jinnah who did not live long enough to steer Pakistan, left this
duty upon our shoulders but un-fortunately we failed to his aspiration. The nation
is searching for the Jinnah's Pakistan. The country Jinnah founded has been occupied
by tax thieves and looters. the masses are victim of injustice and deprived of basic
necessities of life.
I want to deplore the fact that the real objectives behind establishment
of Pakistan have blurred due to corrupt and incompetent leadership. It is not only
the people and institutions but the constitution too, which has been held hostage
by the corrupt leadership. that the ruling elite are interested in that part of
the Constitution, which advances their interests..
After losing Quaid E Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, we feel the need of
another Jinnah and Quaid today who can enlighten the Jinnah's ideology infront of
us. Who can take us on the Path, by following this we can save the state to be drowned
in the river of destruction. If we shed light on the whole political struggle of
Shaykh ul Islam Dr.Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri, He is subjected to the protector of
Jinnah's state and his ideology to be demolished. He is fighting a war for restoration
of rights of the poor those were robbed. He mentioned that the ruling elite was
the custodian of democracy and had monopoly on resources and decision making. They
did not give people anything except starvation, poverty, suicide, deprivation and
disappointment.
Shaykh ul Islam Dr.Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri is struggling for the development
of Pakistan in the comity of nations, where people would have respect, honour, security
of life, and live in peace. His efforts are for a country whose men are determined
in their resolution, whose women are epitome of respect and honour and whose youth
hopes a bright future for themselves in their country. And we foresee a Pakistan
that Jinnah had dreamed for
